Dr Jaime
Jonsson
A Clinical Psychologist offering evidence-based therapy grounded in compassion, curiosity and collaboration. Available online across the UK and in person in the Scottish Borders.

Background &
training
Jaime grew up on the North East coast of England and has always been drawn to understanding and empathising with the inner lives of others. That early curiosity became a career spanning 25 years across NHS adult mental health services, private practice, and the development of InKind UK — a psychology clinic built around a social enterprise model.
Trained to doctoral level, Jaime went on to complete advanced specialist training in Sweden, becoming a recognised Specialist Klinisk Psykolog — a designation that reflects a commitment to clinical excellence across different healthcare systems and cultures. Therapy is offered in both English and Swedish.
Over 25 years Jaime has worked with children and families, working-age adults, and older adults across a wide range of presentations including depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, chronic fatigue, stress and relationship difficulties.
As founder and Director of InKind UK, Jaime leads a team of specialist psychologists and works to make high-quality psychology more accessible through the clinic's buy-one-give-one model — where a portion of every private session funds free or subsidised support for those who cannot afford care.

Therapeutic
approaches
Doctoral-level training across multiple evidence-based modalities means therapy can be genuinely tailored to each person — not constrained by a single model.
CFT helps people who experience high levels of self-criticism, shame and fear — particularly those whose difficulties began in early adverse experiences. Using compassion as both vehicle and destination, CFT builds lasting emotional resilience from the inside out.
ACT builds psychological flexibility — the ability to be present with difficult thoughts and feelings without being controlled by them, while moving steadily toward what matters most. Particularly effective for anxiety, chronic pain and burnout.
A leading evidence-based trauma treatment recognised by the World Health Organization and NICE. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation to help the brain process and integrate traumatic memories that remain stuck. Effective both online and in person.
Doctoral training across Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, psychodynamic understanding and systemic thinking provides a broad clinical foundation. Most people benefit from an integrative approach — and 25 years of experience means knowing precisely when to draw on which.
