AUTISM ASSESSMENT
What we offer
InKind offer comprehensive autism assessments for adults and adolescents, following best-practice guidelines, including the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) recommendations. Our assessments are conducted by our HCPC Consultant Clinical Psychologists and a member of our MDT ensuring a thorough and professional evaluation.
About AUTISM
Autism is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects social interaction, communication, and behavior. Many individuals with autism possess unique strengths, including creativity, deep focus, and innovative problem-solving. However, challenges such as sensory sensitivities, difficulties with social relationships, and the need for structured routines can also be present.
A formal diagnosis can provide clarity, access to support services, and accommodations in education and employment. Understanding autism in adulthood can be life-changing, validating past experiences and enabling individuals to work with their strengths rather than against them.
What happens during assessment?
It depends a little bit of what you choose as we have some different options:
Assessment Options
We offer three assessment pathways to meet different needs and budgets. All assessments include clinical interpretation and a written report.

Observation-based evaluation of communication, interaction, and behavioral patterns
Follow-up discussion
Diagnostic summary (if appropriate)
Note: The ADOS-2 is not intended to be used as a standalone diagnostic tool, but can be useful as part of a wider assessment.

🔹 Option 2: ADI-R & Clinical Interview
Best for: Adults and adolescents who want an in-depth understanding of their developmental history. Carried out by a member of our MDT.
Remote assessment (2.5 hours)
